Samsung’s One UI 7 update: Expected release timeline and new features revealed

Samsung is set to roll out its much-anticipated One UI 7 update, based on Android 15, starting in April 2025. While the company has not officially confirmed the release schedule, leaks suggest that the update will be rolled out in phases, beginning with flagship models before reaching older devices.

Expected Release Timeline

According to leaks, the Galaxy S24 series will be the first to receive One UI 7 on April 18, followed by the Galaxy S23 series on April 25. The update will extend to the S22 series and S23 FE on May 16, while Galaxy S21 users can expect it by May 23.

For Samsung’s foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 will receive the update on April 18, alongside the S24 series. Older foldable models, including the Fold 5 and Flip 5, will be updated on April 25, while the Fold 4 and Flip 4 will follow on May 16. The Fold 3 and Flip 3 are expected to receive One UI 7 on May 23.

In the Galaxy A series, the A54 is set to get the update on April 25, while other models like the A53, A34, and A33 will follow on May 16.

New Features and Enhancements

The One UI 7 update is expected to bring a refreshed design, AI-powered features, and improved system performance. Samsung is reportedly still fine-tuning the update and may release additional beta versions before the final rollout.

While users of older Galaxy devices may need to wait a little longer, the update promises a smoother user experience and new Galaxy AI features.
