“Your contribution will be immensely important in the journey of RSP to the next orbit,” said Atanu Bhowmick, Director In-Charge (DIC), while addressing the newly inducted 127 Operator-cum-Technician Trainees (OCTT) and Attendant-cum-Technician Trainees (ACTT) of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) during the inaugural session of the induction program, ‘Unnayan.’ The DIC participated in the event, held on Wednesday at Gopabandhu Auditorium, via virtual mode.

Extending a warm welcome to the new entrants, Bhowmick emphasized their unique qualities that brought them to this point. “The organization you are joining is not just an employer; it’s a family that has fostered deep bonds with its people for generations,” he stated.

Encouraging the trainees to excel, Bhowmick urged them, “As the new generation, I invite you to bring fresh ideas and contribute to a new work culture.” He asked them to become brand ambassadors of the company, pledging to uphold its image and values.

Executive Director (HR) Tarun Misra welcomed the trainees at a pivotal moment for RSP, which is gearing up for modernization with new technologies. He encouraged them to learn and develop their skills while emphasizing the importance of adhering to the highest safety standards.

Executive Director (Mines) Alok Verma congratulated the new entrants on their decision to join SAIL. He urged them to pursue innovative approaches without fear of failure, sharing his own journey within the organization and highlighting the value of learning from experienced colleagues.

In his remarks, Executive Director (F&A) AK Behuria congratulated the trainees on joining SAIL, noted for being one of the most employee-friendly companies. He encouraged them to embrace challenges and step out of their comfort zones, which is essential for developing leadership skills and becoming future leaders.

New trainees Ayushi Kumari (OCT), Mahendra Mahanta (ACT), and Sourav Kumar (OCT) shared their excitement and experiences about joining RSP.
