Winners of the Safety Quiz competition for contract workers were awarded during a ceremony held in the conference hall of the Roll Shop Department at Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) on Friday.
The event was presided over by SR Mohapatra, GM In-charge of the Roll Shop, who presented awards to the first, second, and third prize winners, along with consolation prizes to all other participating contract laborers.
Attending the ceremony were MK Muduli and JC Lakra, both GMs of the Roll Shop, along with other departmental officers. A total of 17 contract laborers participated in the quiz.
During the event, Mohapatra praised the winners and emphasized the importance of such competitions in reinforcing learning and internalizing safety practices. Each of the dignitaries, including Safety Officers, addressed various aspects of safety and behavioral safety, highlighting their roles in strengthening the safety culture within the organization.
The program was jointly coordinated by AK Mohapatra, DGM (Roll Shop) and DSO, along with CS Behera, Deputy Manager (SED) and Area Safety Officer.
