TSF hosts Rashtriya Poshan Maah

KALINGANAGAR, SEP 28

The Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) has successfully concluded its 7th Rashtriya Poshan Maah initiative, engaging over 740 women and adolescents across the Danagadi and Sukinda blocks of Kalinganagar. Running from September 10 to 26, the program aimed to educate rural communities on the importance of balanced diets and nutritional practices.

Collaborating with local health officials, including Child Development Project Officers and Anganwadi workers, TSF organized various activities such as health education sessions, nutrition food competitions, and workshops on breastfeeding and complementary feeding. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to combat malnutrition and promote food security in rural areas.

Since its inception in 2020, the Poshan Programme has reached over 10,000 community members and established more than 3,800 nutri-gardens, improving the health of over 790 severely malnourished children.
