At the 15th National Marketing Conclave organized by KIIT School of Management (KSOM) with the theme “Marketing in the Age of Disruption”, Partha Sinha, President and Chief Brand Officer of Bennett Coleman & Co Ltd., delivered a compelling keynote address emphasizing the critical role of empathetic data use in navigating volatile markets. Sinha asserted that brands of the future will thrive by focusing on people rather than mere branding, underscoring a shift towards compassionate, data-driven strategies.

In his keynote, Sinha shared his insights on brand building amidst disruption, highlighting that intelligence today is synonymous with hyper-personalization, enhanced customer experience, and automation. He noted that the rise of Generative AI has democratized intelligence, impacting brand naming, personality, website content, and marketing strategies. Sinha emphasized the need for empathy in business strategy, advocating for its integration into decision-making processes to build stronger, more resilient brands.

Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor of KIIT-DU, discussed the evolving educational landscape driven by Industry 4.0 and the importance of aligning academic curricula with industry needs. He highlighted the significant influence of disruptive marketing and emerging technologies like AI and Generative AI on business functions.

In his welcome address, Prof. Suva Kanta Mohanty, Director, KSOM emphasized that increasing uncertainties, technological advancement, globalization and changing socio-economic demography have shaped consumer preferences and buying behaviour significantly.

Prof. Sumita Mishra, Dean of KSOM, concluded the event with a Vote of Thanks, reiterating the institution’s commitment to fostering industry collaborations.

The conclave, which featured a National Level Marketing Simulation Competition with over 1300 participating teams from top business schools across India, served as a vital platform for students to engage with industry leaders and explore the future of marketing in a rapidly changing world.
