Statiq partners with BPCL

Tuesday saw the country’s adoption of electric vehicles accelerate thanks to a partnership between Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) and EV charging network operator Statiq, which aims to promote sustainable mobility.

As part of the partnership, a customized app for BPCL will be created, and Statiq’s network will be connected to the 2,800 chargers that BPCL now has.

“By working together, we can take advantage of BPCL’s extensive network and offer easy and convenient charging options to a greater number of electric vehicle owners,” stated Akshit Bansal, the CEO and founder of Statiq.

By 2025, Statiq hopes to have 20,000 chargers in its network, which presently spans 65 cities with over 7,000 chargers.
Many EVs, such as the Tata Nexon, MG EVZS, and Tata Tiago EV, may be charged at the company’s stations.

Sales of electric cars in India are anticipated to reach 1.3–1.5 lakh in the current fiscal year (FY25) due to an increased adoption rate.

According to the most recent report by domestic financial giant Pantomath Group, the nation may implement the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles (FAME) 3 initiative to promote the sale of electric vehicles in the 2019 budget.

According to the newspaper, the FAME initiative, which may receive a financial allocation of roughly Rs 10,000 crore, is expected to assist electric two-, three-, and four-wheelers.
